While it’s no secret that the Friends of Rose Creek supports the ReWild Mission Bay “Wildest” alternative to restore a mere portion of the historic wetlands at the mouth of Rose Creek, the City of San Diego is also proposing it’s own plan called De Anza Natural.

City of San Diego proposed land use plan

The Friends of Rose Creek will be posting suggested comments here before January 24th. Please check back.

  • The most obvious problem is that all the wetlands aren’t located at the mouth of Rose Creek where they will be most self-maintaining and do the most to improve water quality in Mission Bay.

There will be a public scoping meeting on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. online via Zoom. Please note that depending on the number of attendees the meeting could end earlier than 5:30 p.m.
