Volunteers Stocking Up On Refreshments

Over one hundred dedicated volunteers turned out for Coastal Cleanup Day @ Rose Creek  on Saturday, September 15 despite the record breaking heat wave. We filled a 40-yard roll off dumpster with trash and two with invasive non-natives. Some of the groups represented were University of San Diego students, employees and their families from Helix Water District, the Kiwanis Club of Claremont and a group from Francis Parker School.

Ice Cream was provided by Campland on The Bay. I Love A Clean San Diego provided gloves and other clean up supplies.  A special shout out to our site captans for putting together an amazing and productive day and without the dedicated volunteers, none of this would have been possible.
