Thanks to the  Cornell Lab of Ornithology for making this great video. Each winter, many birds of the Pacific Flyway make Rose Creek, Mission Bay, and surrounding areas their winter home. As you watch the film, look at the large salt marsh complexes. The Historic Rose Creek wetlands and Mission Bay looked much like these places until the last 60 years. Even now, we have the pleasure of American wigeon, Redheads, Willets, Long-billed curlew, various Sandpipers, Brants, Northern pintails, and many more species spending their winters in and around Rose Creek.

Let’s bring as much of it back as we can.
