The Friends of Rose Creek would like to invite you to our Ten Year Anniversary Party and Bird Watching Bingo Tournament on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Rose Creek Cottage 2525 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109. Limited parking is available in the cottage parking lot. We encourage you to limit your carbon consumption by riding your bike, walking or taking bus #27 which stops at the cottage. If the parking lot fills up, additional parking is available on Fogg Street just South of Garnet and west of the Cottage.
Join us as we celebrate ten years of picking up trash, removing invasive non-natives, planting native plants, attending city council meetings, commenting on environmental impact reports, reviewing CEQA documents, picking up trash, and hosting bird walks. Let’s take time to celebrate our hard work.
Many birds make their winter homes in and around Rose Creek. We’ll be on the look out for American Coot’s, Snowy Egrets, American wigeons, northern pintails, blue and green-winged teal, and a host of other birds. Everyone who shows up gets a Bird Watching Bingo playing card and will be looking for as many of the birds on the playing card as can be found. Naturalist Trent Robinson will be on hand to help the less-experienced bird watchers amongst us spot those hard to fine birds. Don’t forget to BRING YOUR BINOCULARS.
