Rose Creek Native Plant Garden Work Party

2 PM to 5 PM – Special time this monthly only!

The Nature School – Native Plant Garden Maintenance *

This month’s native plant garden work party will be a fun time. We’ll be putting plants in the ground to replant an area that was cleared. This is an opportunity to play in the dirt, get muddy, and create habitat for birds and other creatures who live along the creek. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!

Snacks and tap water will be provided. Bring your own water bottles.

Meet behind the Rose Creek Cottage 2525 Garnet Ave in Pacific Beach. Park on Fogg Street just South of Garnet.

MTS Bus 30 stops on Grand @ Bond Street. MTS Bus 27 stops on Garnet @ Bond Street just east of Rose Creek.

Perfect for community service credit hours. Please wear sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and a hat. Volunteers should bring water and heavy-duty work or gardening gloves. More information Karin 858-405-7503 or via email.

Heavy rain cancels. Drizzle means we work.

* Part of the Rose Creek Wetlands & Salt Marsh Restoration and Nature Education Preserve project by The Nature Institute. New habitat restoration supported by The Nature Institute, San Diego Earthworks, The Friends of Rose Creek, and the City of San Diego Environmental Services Dept.
