Watershed Basics: Why Watersheds Matter

Join the Friends of Rose Creek for an overview of watersheds and why they matter.  This is the first part of a series. This month we will learn about watersheds. In February we will create watershed models and then take them to Love Your Wetlands Day on Saturday, February 7th to teach more people about why watersheds matters.

watershed imageThe presentation will provide an overview on watersheds and help participants understand their positive and negative impacts on the watersheds where they live, work, and play.

6:00 – 6:30 PM Meet and Greet with light refreshments at UC San Diego’s Henter Eduction Center in Kendall-Frost Marsh Preserve

6:30 – 7:00 PM Presentation by Karin Zirk, Ph.D., Executive Director, Friends of Rose Creek.

7:00 – 8:00 PM Friends of Rose Creek Business Meeting open to the public.

~ We meet the First Wednesday of every month @ 6 PM ~

All meetings are open to the public.

Please note that no dogs or other pets are allowed in the Kendall-Frost Marsh. No smoking allowed!

All attendees must sign a waiver at the event. If you are under 18, please download, have your parent or guardian sign it, and bring it with you.  If you are 18 or older, you can sign the group waiver at the meeting.  La renuncia en español
