King Tides Community Science Project
January 22, 2023 - 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM
The California King Tides Project helps us visualize future sea level by observing the highest tides of today. You can help by taking and sharing photos of the shoreline during King Tides to create a record of changes to our coast and estuaries.
The high tide at the entrance to Mission Bay will be at 9:01 AM with a height of 7.10 ft.
The Rose Creek Salt Marsh and Estuary will probably be a bit later but be at the Salt Marsh 30 minutes early to be able to capture the tide.
As an FYI, the salt marsh and estuary is from the mouth of Mission Bay north to Garnet Avenue and sometimes a bit beyond. Documenting this stretch is very important.
