2662 Garnet Housing Project

The Pacific Beach Planning Group will hear from the developer of the proposed 50 story apartment building at 2662 Garnet Avenue (the former Wasabi Sushi).
There are three main concerns that the Friends of Rose Creek has regarding this project.
- Does it comply with the MHPA Adjacency Guidelines (see https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/legacy/planning/programs/mscp/pdf/subarea.pdf section 1.4)?
- Will the building be situated so as to minimize shading of native plants in the MHPA lands of Rose Creek?
- Will the property use only native plants from the Coastal Sage Scrub or Coastal Riparian communities of plants? (i.e. planting the wrong type of plants this close to MHPA lands can cause even more invasive non-natives that clog the channel)
