Coastal Cleanup Day

CCD Flyer

We Clean Trails, The Friends of Rose Creek, the San Diego Bird Alliance, and I Love A Clean San Diego will be hosting a cleanup along Rose Creek in Pacific Beach.

Join us for trash pickup or invasive non-native plant removal as you prefer.

Online registration is open, but you can also just show up the day of. We will take all the help we can get.

Clean Swell App logoBring your app-enabled device with the Clean Swell App installed already or we can help you the day of.  We will be using this app to document the trash we pick up. The data we collect is used to change laws, regulations, etc. You are creating the evidence our elected officials need to create change so there is less trash next time.

Find the app on the App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android.

Reduce waste at this year’s cleanup by bringing along your own wagons and buckets, work gloves, and reusable water bottle. We would love to be as close to “zero waste” as we can this year and you can help!

Please bring wagons to help transport trash from where you find it back to the dumpster. Wear closed toed shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Bring your reusable water bottle. Drinking water and healthy snacks will be provided. Did we mention, please bring wagons!
Scout troops can earn badges for participating in Coastal Cleanup Day. Learn more at Scout Patches.
Meet at Mission Bay High School, located at 2475 Grand Avenue, San Diego, CA 92109. Wear closed toe shoes, long pants and long sleeves. A hat is a great idea. Registration is open or just show up the day of the event and we will register you on the spot. All participants under 18 will need to have a parent or guardian sign. If you are under 18, either bring a parent or guardian with you to sign the waiver, or download it ahead of time and bring it when you come. The waiver will be added soon.
No children under the age of 13 without a parent or guardian!
We’ll be in the Faculty Parking Lot on the east side of campus overlooking Rose Creek and you can sign up on the spot!  Parking on Grand Avenue in front of the high school is also available. If the lot and on street parking fill up, then head to the west side of campus where there is a large parking lot at Lee Street and Grand Avenue. Turn onto Lee Street to access the lot.
